It's 6:00 a.m. in Seattle, i'm waiting for my flight home, which happens in about 3 hours.
Anyway, i'm sorry i never really got going with this blog. This summer was pretty incredible, but i'm tired and ready to be back in Chicago.
So my adventure ends.

Pub Quiz
Tonight was a great night.
Our team won a pub quiz. Alot of people don't know that in high school i was a Quiz Bowl nerd. Trivia games are my favorite things in the world. There were ten teams and we were in first place throughout...due to judge bribery, we had to go to a sudden death match with a team that wasn't deserving. What transpired was awesome...
The tiebreaker question was how long did the lunar landing module stay on the moon on our first moon landing....I was pretty sure it couldn't have been more than a couple hours, but due to the rules if we went over, we would lose... Our team decided on 5 hours and 45 minutes.
I was chosen as our team's delegate. The other team asked..."Can we go first" Of course I said yes...she said "1 hour and 15 minutes" I said "1 hour and 16 minutes" The actual answer was 21 hours +. The other team was furious with my Price is Right tactics....but who cares. We won, and the bar thought it was funny...so we all win.
Sorry for the lack of updates..I've been busy.
also, I've been watching the Olympics non-stop.

My phone!!
My phone died.
It is a goner. I opened it up and tried to fix it, which did for about a day, then i burned out the battery. Whoops..
Anyhow, if you are calling or texting, i'm not getting it.
On a happier note, i finally broke down and began watching Battlestar Galactica, I've always promised myself that i would not jump in those waters, but I did. I was wrong, it is an amazing show. If anyone has season 4 on some sort of disc, and would like to help a poor Alaskan finish the series, let me know...you would be well paid for your efforts. Right now I'm a few episodes in to season 3....what a show...!

ATV Rides
So, Jill from Chicago was in the area today before she went off to do an improv show in Anchorage. We decided to go ATVing. It was a great time, and it led us to two really nice overlooks.
On a side note, sorry for the lack of updates, i've been pretty busy. I have a few blog posts planned, so hopefully i can pick up the pace.

Before/After
Golf at Black Diamond
We have a weekly golf game now. Every Friday we play. None of us are that great, but playing best ball we were pretty much par golfers.
I had the best shot of the day and the worst shot of the day.
Worst shot: Wedge shot from about 25 yards that flew over the green and hit a shed causing a vacationing family to run away in terror.
Best shot: Par four dogleg left. Flew over some trees, couldn't see the hole. Dave said,

"I hope we can find it". We get around the dogleg and the ball has landed about 15 yards from the hole on the green. So we had an eagle attempt, which we missed, but we did birdie the hole, we used only my shots, so i had my first legit birdie on a par four. I also for the first time hit a par four green from the tee box, which obviously means i'm super strong. I'm dissapointed that my dad wasn't able to be there for my first mega-shot, sadly he will still kick my ass when he is 80.
Dave and I could have won the game if i would have played anywhere close to decent the first 4 holes. I'll admit it here, for not playing golf that often, Dave is pretty damn good.
Here are some pictures from the inaugural game.

1. A before and after picture from one of my first blog posts
2. A beard update
3. Pictures from my castmate Scott's trip to the "Into the Wild" bus.

Wallet stolen, then returned...somewhat lighter
So tonight at the Salmon Bake, i lost my wallet.
It was the scariest 30 minutes of my life. Eventually it was found, 40 dollars lighter...
This was a dumb blog entry....
I had to do it, it was a shitty night.

Mai Tai correction
So I told Melanie that I blogged about our new "band" she was not happy with the spelling..
So it is written MaiTai, is now MyTy...
This needed to be done, before band bridges were burned.

Beardwatch 08--The Extravaganza
Recipe for a good time.
1. Create a fake holiday, give it a snappy title, let everyone know that it is on the horizon.
2. Mention fake holiday a few times a day, keeping it in the front of everyone's mind.
3. When the day finally arrives, enjoy!
In essence, this is what Beardwatch 08 was.
A few weeks ago when i decided to stop shaving, I thought it would be fun to title my journey towards beard-dom "Beardwatch 08" The final day of May would be the first party (of many) to celebrate my beard.
The pictures you are about to view are not of a complete beard, that isn't what beardwatch is, beardwatch is a celebration of the bearded. Near the end of the season you will see pictures from the final Beardwatch party, which will be called "Beardwatch 08: Mission Accomplished"
Here is Dave, (commissioner of Beards) giving me a ziploc bag of full of the remaining parts of his recently shorn beard.
Here Dave tells the legend of how gods passed down beards to human kind, and how in a beards fullest moment, it flows with milk and honey enough to feed the masses. In the end of the story we learn that the gods passed down the first beard to Dave himself, and that he in fact was the chosen one. He passed that on to me.

Long time no write
I've been avoiding blogging lately.
I think it has to do with the facts that yes, I am in Alaska, and yes I am performing but at the same time, this is still a job, a really incredible job, in an amazing place, a job nonetheless.
The last week was pretty good. Just falling into my schedule more and more. Two days ago on Monday we had Open Mic night and Mai-Tai did another couple of songs. Then Andy, Mel and I did an improv country song that we titled "I love the way you Love me" It started out pretty rocky, but ended up being good...if not a bit offensive, still it was a highlight of the evening.
Yesterday I went with fellow cast-mate Sarah Beth and her boyfriend Chris to Healy, where we taught improv and acting to 17 highschool boys. It was fun and a bit strange. A good outing though.
Tonight i'm going to the show on the other property.
At the moment i'm watching Hockey for my first time. Um...go penguins?

Open Mic Nite
Tonite was Open Mic Nite, hosted by my roommate Andy. I've been looking forward to it. Because of my schedule, Mondays are my Fridays, so i decided to head on out. Here is a shot of me playing "Dear Chicago" by Ryan Adams
Katie, Andy, Mel and I doing The Band's "The Weight" Andy bestowed upon me the second verse, It was a monumental day.
Mel and I doing "Going Back to Georgia" We have a band name, Mai-Tai.
I'm glad I was able to play a bit. It gives me reason to practice, I want to have a new song to do every week.

4:22 in the morning
We had a great series of shows tonight...
It is late, we had drinks, we celebrated.
I just wanted to say that I miss all of my friends in Chicago and elsewhere. I have had some pangs of homesickness, but i'm doing great.

Dave and Debbie
Ok. So as i was entering my last post, Dave and Debbie saw my blog. The blog location is a secret to the cast, i want them to read it at the end so they can get a warm feeling remembering all of the good times. Also, there needs to be photo documentation for those nights where things get a little fuzzy. Anyhow, they were annoyed that i haven't mentioned them in the blog yet. So here it is...the above picture is of Dave and Debbie they are two of my best friends up here, and will now appear more frequently in the blog.
You happy now Dave?
Camping trip
So I went on my first camping trip ever the other night. This is our activities director Patty "helping" me set up my tent. My job was to watch and learn.

There was a 4 hour guitar jam, which was pretty incredible. Everyone was just swaping songs and guitars.
I want to do more camping this season, hopefully on our days off we are able to.
Oh...the show has opened and everything is going well. I'm ready to fall into my schedule and just start working.
My days off are Tuesdays and Wednesdays for those who want to call.
